Atlas Marine Systems was founded in 1924; originally as Atlas Energy Systems, we started manufacturing a product line of backup generators.

Atlas Energy Systems begins to manufacture electric motorgenerator sets and backup power supplies (RotoPLUS™ and RotoUPS™), for the computer and industrial marketplace.

Atlas Energy Systems starts to manufacture rotary power frequency converters, power conditioners, uninterruptible power supplies, and inverters, in the 10 - 1000kVA  range for fragile and critical electronic equipment for computer, process control, aerospace, military, and government applications.

Atlas Energy Systems designs a 40kVA ShorPOWER™ frequency converter designated Classic I for the owner and captain of a 153 foot yacht named Sally Ann (renamed M/Y D'Natalin) manufactured by Delta Shipyard.

Atlas Energy Systems applies for a patent on the design of the Classic I and SmartBOX™ accessory for dual shore cord operation for applications in the marine industry.

Marine sales office opens in Fort Lauderdale to promote Classic I ShorPOWER at the Fort Lauderdale Boat Show.

Atlas Energy Systems' Florida marine sales office expands to five employees and leases space at the Executive Airport Office Complex in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

Atlas Energy Systems moves from 6,000 square foot facility located in El Monte, California, to a larger 30,000 facility in City of Industry, California.

Atlas Energy Systems hires an engineer located in the Florida office and starts to design a switchboard for marine applications and introduces the TecPOWER™ Main AC Switchboard product line.

AES also opens a sales office in Palma de Mallorca, Spain.

Atlas applies for a patent on the design of a unique multi-input power conversion system in the SPA Series Frequency Converter design.
